Purchasing cosmetics samples should go through formal channels

Due to its low price, convenient carrying, and small quantity, cosmetics samples gradually separated from the only channel of "free delivery" and began to be traded in the market. However, some cosmetics samples have unclear sources, incomplete labeling, quality assurance, and difficulties in consumer rights protection. Recently, the Market Supervision Bureau of Jimei District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province, based on recent market inspections, reminded consumers that they should try to purchase cosmetics samples through formal channels.
Recently, law enforcement personnel from the Market Supervision Bureau of Jimei District have found many problems with the cosmetics samples sold by many cosmetics stores during their daily inspections. During the inspection, it was found that some cosmetics stores placed small samples of cosmetics packaged in simple plastic bags with simple labels attached to the outside of the plastic bags. The label content of these cosmetics' plastic bags only contains the name, barcode, serial number, and sales price of the cosmetics, but does not identify the production date, expiration date, and method of use; The outer packaging of cosmetics in plastic bags is in foreign language, without Chinese content labels; Some cosmetics store operators originally sold cosmetics samples for their own use only, and then placed the above cosmetics samples on the counter for customers to try or purchase during the trial operation process of their new store. All of these behaviors violate the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Cosmetics". The Market Supervision Bureau of Jimei District immediately ordered the operators to correct their illegal behaviors and imposed a fine.
